Release a new album! Which performers do you wish would release a new album?

Somewhere along the line, we fell in love with these artists. Their songs sizzled. Their albums scorched. But it has been a while since they put out any new material, and the heat has faded. Here's a list of 10 artists (in no particular order and with comments from local DJs) who we wish would release another album:
TRACY CHAPMAN (latest, "Where You Live," 2005) This Ohio-born folk singer/songwriter first came on the music scene in the '80s with honest, simple and political lyrics. She took a break and came back in the mid- '90s with even more critical acclaim. Chapman has been performing, but there's no word on a new album.
Biggest hits: "Give Me One Reason," "Fast Car."

Within months of qualifying for historical protection, the Mission Police Station Horse Stables were torn down on Treat Street, San Francisco. This happened recently, even after large scale protests from locals, among them the one and only Tracy Chapman.

UCSF Women's HIV program announces March 20 benefit in San Francisco.
Singer Tracy Chapman will be the featured performer at this year’s annual fundraising event to benefit the Women’s HIV Program at the University of California, San Francisco.
Titled “Grow to Be,” the event will take place on Tuesday, March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rasselas Jazz Club, 1534 Fillmore Street in San Francisco. In addition to the entertainment, there will be a social reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres.

In episode 12 of American Idol which aired last night, top 12 lady Jordin Sparks performed "Give Me One Reason". This being the same show that features Tracy's "Matters Of The Heart" bassist Randy Jackson as panel Judge.

Ben Taylor news:
Good news for fans of Tracy's recent support act Ben Taylor, he has got a new single on the way.
It is called "Nothing I Can Do" from his LP "Another Run Around The Sun" and is set for release March 9th, his recent success has come after Touring with Tracy Chapman and performing a few UK showcases.
